Message from MDM’s Publisher: Thank You

Thank you for your readership in the past year.

Thank you for your business and readership this past year. MDM enjoyed another year of strong growth in 2011. We continued to expand our audience, industry coverage, research and educational resources focused on wholesale distribution. I’d especially like to acknowledge and thank our advertising and marketing partners this past year who helped MDM produce some outstanding industry research and Webcast programming.

We have built out the strongest online information service and community serving the wholesale distribution industry. Our twice-monthly Premium subscription online and print newsletter remains the core of our business, but we reach more than 17,500 wholesale distribution executives and their suppliers weekly through our free e-newsletters (Sign up here). Our readers also regularly use our webcast programming, website and other services for the latest news, trends and opportunities.

Based on our strategic planning this fall, we will continue to invest in 2012 to increase the value of MDM to you and the wholesale distribution industry. You will see this in both the depth and breadth of industry and trend analysis we produce this year. I’m very excited about our programming and will share more details throughout the year.

It is also becoming increasingly important in media to find ways to deliver content differently – more so than even just a few years ago thanks to the advent of smart phones and tablets. The key is to make our services user-friendly; we work on this daily and will continue into 2012 helping you to access our content easily wherever you may be. While online content platforms have increased in importance, we will continue printing and mailing our flagship newsletter for a lot time. That’s based on the countless times I have heard long-time subscribers say they file their issues of MDM in their briefcase for reference while flying or in meetings.

Thanks again for your support, interest and attention. We look forward to a great year for the wholesale distribution industry as a strong 2011 finish and optimistic indicators point to a year of increased opportunity.
