ProBuild to Close 20 Locations

According to ProSales magazine, the Denver, CO-based building materials distributor did not disclose which locations will be closed.

ProBuild Holdings Inc., Denver, CO, No. 1 on MDM’s 2010 Top 10 Building Materials/Construction Distributors list, will close 20 locations nationwide, according to an announcement that appeared in ProSales magazine. ProBuild currently operates about 470 locations.

According to ProSales, ProBuild says the closures are part of \”an effort to align our business with current market needs.\” The closures include a facility in Jackson, WI, and one in Jacksonville, FL; the other 18 locations have not been disclosed.

The closures will include lumber yards, component facilities, gypsum yards and millwork facilities.
