Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (NYSE: RS), Los Angeles, CA, through its wholly-owned subsidiary American Metals Corp., it has acquired Haskins Steel Co. Inc. in Spokane, WA. Haskins processes and distributes primarily carbon steel and aluminum products of various shapes and sizes to a diverse customer base in the Pacific Northwest. Terms were not disclosed.

Haskins' in-house processing capabilities include shearing, sawing, burning and forming. Sales in 2012 were about $31.5 million. The company will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Metals Corp. Current management will remain in place.
