Stock Building Supply Holdings, Inc., Raleigh, NC, has commenced its initial public offering of common stock.

The price is currently expected to be between $16 and $18 a share, according to news release from Stock Building Supply.

The underwritten IPO includes 8,823,520 shares of common stock, including 4.4 million from the company and 4.4 million from certain selling stockholders. Stock Building Supply will not receive any proceeds from the offering of shares by the selling stockholders.

Stock Building Supply will list its common stock on the The Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol STCK.

Stock Building Supply is a diversified lumber and building materials distributor and solutions provider that sells primarily to new construction and repair and remodel contractors.
