United Natural Foods Inc. (Nasdaq: UNFI), Providence, RI, reported sales for the fiscal year ended August 3 of $6.1 billion, an increase of 15.8 percent compared to the prior fiscal year. Profit increased 18.1 percent to $107.9 million.
For the fourth quarter, sales were $298.7 million, an increase of 22.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit increased 27.6 percent to $32.1 million.
