Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench LLC, USA, has completed the acquisition of the pump business of J.C. Carter LLC, headquartered in California.

J.C. Carter is a producer of cryogenic submerged motor pumps, which have applications in the natural gas market. The company’s products are used in liquid natural gas regasification and liquefaction plants, and natural gas liquid processing. In 2009 the company had around 70 employees and revenues of $25 million.

The acquired business will be a part of Atlas Copco’s Gas and Process Division.

Atlas Copco is a Swedish industrial group with positions in compressors, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems.
