DXP Enterprises Acquires Mid-Continent Safety

Mid-Continent provides safety instrumentation, fall and hand protection and other related safety products.

DXP Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: DXPE), Houston, TX, has acquired substantially all the assets of Mid-Continent Safety, LLC, a distributor of safety products in the Midwest.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Mid-Continent Safety is headquartered in Wichita, KS, and operates out of three locations in Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Mid-Continent provides safety instrumentation, fall and hand protection and other related safety products, focused primarily on customers in the oil & gas, refining, power and general industrial markets.

Mid-Continent had sales in 2011 of $10 million.
