IBT Industrial Solutions, Merriam, KS, has acquired Sheppard Supply Co. Based in Springfield, MO, Sheppard provides construction, industrial and power transmission supplies to sawmills, manufacturing companies and food processors. Operations for Sheppard will be consolidated into IBT’s existing Springfield location.

“Any time two independent supply companies merge, it’s a good thing,” said Jeff Cloud, regional manager for IBT. “It gives customers more options, and makes independents healthier and stronger to compete against ‘big box distributors.’”

Sheppard Supply had five employees at the time of purchase, who are being interviewed for positions within IBT.
