Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO), Cleveland, OH, has acquired the privately-held automated systems and tooling manufacturer Tennessee Rand Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
Tennessee Rand, with headquarters and manufacturing operations in Chattanooga, TN, serves a wide base of automotive and metal fabrication customers. The newly acquired company has annual sales of $35 million.
"Tennessee Rand strengthens our already strong position as a market leader in welding automation in North America," said Christopher L. Mapes, Lincoln CEO. "It is a nice complement to our recent acquisition of Wayne Trail Technologies."
Lincoln Electric has 46 manufacturing locations, including operations and joint ventures in 20 countries.
