Purvis Industries Acquires BMG of Texas

With the acquisition, Purvis will be opening a new Mt. Pleasant, TX, store.

CAPCORP, a division of Purvis Industries of Dallas, TX, has acquired Belt Maintenance Group of Texas (BMG) from BMG of Tampa, FL.  The acquisition consists of the Mt. Pleasant, TX, and San Antonio, TX, locations and became effective Nov. 1, 2010.

BMG sells conveyor belting sales and service solutions including field service and installation to the Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and surrounding areas since 1970.  BMG Texas offers hot and cold vulcanization, conveyor components, and industrial rubber fabrication and has installed conveyors as long as 25 miles in length. 

“We believe the culture of quality service and field work with an emphasis on maintaining a safe and professional presence on the job demonstrated by BMG Texas is a great fit with the CAPCORP organization and its philosophy” said Allan Ross, vice president of sales and operations at CAPCORP. 

With the BMG Texas acquisition, Purvis Industries will be opening a new Mt Pleasant, TX store to be co-located in a new 15,000-square-foot facility to be occupied by BGM and CAPCORP.

Purvis Industries is one of the largest regional independent power transmission, electrical control and belting services distributors in the nation with 49 locations and over 350 team members in eight states. Purvis is No. 10 on MDM's list of the top 10 PT/Bearing distributors. Headquartered in Dallas, TX, Purvis Industries goes to market through seven strategic business units: CAPCORP Total Belting Solutions, American Keyed and Custom Shaft, National Mechanical Power Systems, Purvis Bearing Services, Triad Industrial Automation, U.S. Conveying Systems & Equipment and HydraAir Fluid Power.
