RBC Bearings Acquires Turbine Components

Acquisition is in line with RBC's strategy of expanding its product portfolio into aerospace markets.

RBC Bearings Inc. (NASDAQ: ROLL), Oxford, CT, has acquired Turbine Components Inc. for approximately $3.9 million.

Based in San Diego, CA, TCI is an FAA-certified aircraft gas turbine repair station and manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace markets. TCI’s net sales for 2012 were $4 million.

"The addition of TCI’s unique manufacturing and repair processes to our portfolio of highly engineered aircraft engine products increases the breadth of our current product and service offering," says Michael J. Hartnett, CEO of RBC Bearings. "The acquisition is in line with our strategy of product portfolio expansion into the aerospace markets, and more specifically aircraft engines."

RBC Bearings is an international manufacturer of highly engineered precision bearings and components.
