France-based Sonepar has agreed to acquire Electrical Wholesale Services, an electrical wholesaler based in New South Wales, Australia. The business will join Sonepar Asia-Pacific.
EWS generated AU$13 million in sales (US$11.8 million).
EWS, a 5-branch company, focuses on electrical contractors, industrial users and local government. The Sydney City branch is specialized in the lift segment of the building industry.
John Colyer, general manager, and 32 associates from EWS will remain with the business.
