Tramec Sloan Acquires Crawford Machine

Crawford manufactures brass components and air assemblies for tractor and trailer markets.

Tramec Sloan, Iola, KS, has acquired Crawford Machine Inc., a producer of brass components and related air assemblies used in U.S., Mexico and Canada tractor and trailer markets. CMI's customers include top North American tractor/trailer manufacturers, chassis manufacturers and industrial distribution companies servicing various industrial markets.

Kevin Hessey, president, CMI, said, "The CMI leadership team looks forward to uniting its manufacturing and engineering capabilities with those of the Tramec Sloan Company.  This will provide our combined customers with the most comprehensive product portfolio of highly engineered products that meet their stringent requirements."

Tramec LLC was formed in May 2008 with the merger of Tramec Corp., Iola, Kansas, and Maclean Crewson of Buffalo, NY.
