United Central Industrial Supply Acquires GHX Industrial

The two distributors are now The United Distribution Group, focused on mining and energy markets.

United Central Industrial Supply, a mining supply distribution company in North America, has acquired GHX Holdings Inc., one of the largest fluid transfer and sealing products distributors in the energy market. GHX had $216.7 million in sales in 2011.

The combined company will operate as The United Distribution Group Inc.

GHX is No. 33 on MDM’s list of the top 40 industrial distributors.

The United Distribution Group is focused on distributing industrial supplies and services to end-users in the energy and natural resources markets.

The United Distribution Group will be organized into two business units: United Central, focused on the underground mining industry; and GHX, which will focus mainly on the energy markets.

Daniel Ahuero, previously executive chairman of GHX, is now vice president of mergers & acquisitions for The United Distribution Group.
