VWR International, LLC, Radnor, PA, distributor of laboratory supplies, equipment and services, has acquired Basan UK Limited, a distributor of cleanroom products and services.

This acquisition builds upon VWR's recent acquisition of basan GmbH, headquartered in Germany. Basan UK Limited distributes to various industries across the UK including pharmaceutical, microelectronics, semi-conductor and medical device.

The acquisition allows VWR to extend its cleanroom supplies capabilities across Europe.

VWR International had sales of more than $4.1 billion in 2012.
