Sales for AD affiliates across all AD divisions grew by 5 percent in the first half of this year to $14 billion. Affiliates hired 2,973 new employees and opened 105 new locations in the last three months.
AD industrial member sales grew 5 percent in the first half, on a same-store basis, to $2.9 billion.
AD U.S. electrical member sales grew 2 percent in the first half of 2013, on a same-store basis, to $5.97 billion.
Jack Templin, AD’s president of the industrial supply division, said, “Like most of the industry, our assumptions regarding industrial market growth for 2013 have yet to be realized. However, our members continue to keep pace and/or outperform the market. The good news for us is that other elements of our plan have put us in the position of having one of the best years in the history of AD’s industrial supply division.”
