Pentair plc (NYSE: PNR), London, UK, reported second-quarter sales of $781 million, up 4 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
The company completed the previously announced spin-off of its electrical business, nVent Electric plc, to shareholders during the quarter. Pentair now goes to market as a pure play water company, focused on pumping, filtration and similar solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, municipal and agriculture applications.
Pentair reported adjusted segment income of $164 million for the second quarter, up 8 percent compared to the same period last year.
