I am pleased to announce the 2013 MDM Market Leaders – our fourth annual directory of the largest distributors across sectors. This year we feature 15 sectors.

We present the Top 40 Industrial distributors, Top 25 Electrical distributors and Top 10s in Building Materials , HVACR and Plumbing, Fluid Power and Power Transmission and Bearing. We also present the largest distributors in electronics, fasteners, gases and welding equipment, hose and accessories, industrial PVF, plastics, pharmaceuticals, safety and jan-san.

When we compile these lists our goal is to provide an accurate picture of distribution in each sector. This has its challenges of course, as not all distributors are willing to divulge their revenues to MDM. We use several resources to estimate where to place these companies on the list. This is the most comprehensive report in the wholesale distribution industry; we used the interviews we conduct throughout the year, as well as insight we collect leading up to the publication of this report, to compile the 2013 MDM Market Leaders and Distribution Trends Report.
