Wholesale revenues in July 2011 were $396 billion, unchanged from the revised June level, but up 14.4 percent from July 2010. July sales of durable goods were up 1.4 percent from last month and up 11.7 percent from a year ago. Sales of motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and supplies were up 5.3 percent from last month. Sales of nondurable goods were down 1.1 percent from last month, but up 16.7 percent from last year.

Inventories were $462.4 billion at the end of July, up 0.8 percent from June and up 15.1 percent from a year ago.
End-of-month inventories of durable goods were up 1 percent from last month and up 12 percent from last July. End-of-month inventories of nondurable goods were up 0.5 percent from June, and up 19.6 percent from last July.
The July inventories/sales ratio was 1.17. July 2010 ratio for wholesalers was 1.16.
