Interline Brands Sales Up 4.9% in Fiscal 2014

Company reports net loss of $47.1 million for fiscal year.

Interline Brands Inc., Jacksonville, FL, distributor and direct marketer of broad-line maintenance, repair and operations products to the facilities maintenance end-market, reported sales for fiscal 2014 of $1.7 billion, up 4.9 percent over the prior-year period. The company reported a loss of $47.1 million for the year, compared to a loss of $6.3 million in the prior-year period.

Sales to institutional facilities customers comprised 49.8 percent of sales, sales to multifamily housing facilities customers comprising 30.3 percent of sales and sales to residential facilities customers comprised 19.9 percent of sales for the year.

The company reported sales for the fourth quarter of $415.8 million, up 6.6 percent year-over-year. The company reported a loss of $9.6 million for the quarter, compared to a profit of $1.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Sales to institutional facilities customers, comprising 48.3 percent of sales, increased 6.7 percent for the quarter. Sales to multifamily housing facilities customers, comprising 30.4 percent of sales, increased 10 percent for the quarter. Sales to residential facilities customers, comprising 21.3 percent of sales, increased 3.2 percent for the quarter.
