HVAC distributor Watsco Inc. (NYSE:WSO), Miami, FL, reported second quarter sales of $1.3 billion, up 5.1 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 14.1 percent to $73.8 million.
HVAC equipment sales increased 7 percent in the quarter, other HVAC products increased 2 percent and commercial refrigeration equipment grew 3 percent.
For the first six months, sales were $2.1 billion, up 4 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit grew 10.8 percent to $99.9 million.
