Sealed Air Corp. (NYSE: SEE), Elmwood Park, NJ, reported full year sales for 2014 of $7.8 billion, an increase of 0.8 percent from the previous year. Profit increased to $258.1 million from $125.8 million the previous year.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $2 billion, a decrease of 1.9 percent year-over-year. Profit was $66.3 million, compared to $29 million from the same period the previous year.
Food care division sales were up 3 percent for the quarter and 3.6 percent for the year. Diversey care division sales were up 4.1 percent for the quarter and 3 percent for the year. Product care division sales were up 4.6 percent for the quarter and 3.7 percent for the year.
For the full year, net sales increased 8.4 percent for Latin America, 6.9 percent for AMAT (Asia, Middle East, Africa, Turkey), 2.8 percent for North America, 1.9 percent for JANZ (Japan, Australia, New Zealand) and Europe was up slightly by 0.7 percent.
