The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association, Elm Grove, WI, is offering 10 scholarships for the upcoming University of Industrial Distribution in Indianapolis March 10-13, 2013. STAFDA is offering the scholarships to distributor members seeking career advancement in the wholesale distribution channel.

Each scholarship will cover the cost of the four-day management school, a $995 value. Applicants must be full-time employees with at least a one-year tenure at a STAFDA distributor. Applicants must write a short essay on why they’d like to attend and what they hope to gain and provide a letter of recommendation from the owner or company president.

STAFDA has been a co-sponsor, along with 30 other associations, of the University of Industrial Distribution for more than 10 years. The university attracts 450 students, who are able to choose their own curricula, from a cross-section of hardlines industries.
