United Natural Foods Inc. (Nasdaq: UNFI), Providence, RI, has agreed to acquire Trudeau Foods LLC from Trudeau Holdings LLC, a portfolio company of Arbor Investments II LP. Trudeau Foods is a Minnesota-based distributor of natural, organic and specialty food products.
The transaction is expected to close by September 30, when Trudeau will become a subsidiary of United Natural Foods Inc. UNFI distributes more than 65,000 products to more than 27,000 customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
