Genuine Parts Co. Sales Increase 8% to $9.8B in 2005

Sales in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2005, were up 7% to $2.41 billion, compared with $2.25 billion in the same period last year. Revenues in Automotive Group were up 5%; Motion Industries increased sales by 9%, and EIS, the electrical/electronics group, saw sales rise 6%. S.P. Richards, GPC's office products group, improved sales by 10%.
