Eaton Corp. to Acquire Dover’s Fine Filtration Business

Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation, Cleveland, OH, has agreed to acquire Dover Resources’ Ronningen-Petter industrial fine filtration business. Dover Resources is a subsidiary of Dover Corporation.

Dover Resource’s Ronningen-Petter fine filtration business had 2005 sales of $30 million. It provides filters and components to customers in end markets that include the oil and gas, pulp and paper, and food and beverage industries. The business is based in Portage, MI, and has 110 employees.

“This acquisition expands our industrial filtration offerings by providing access to new end markets and strengthening our product offerings,” said Craig Arnold, Eaton senior vice president and president, Fluid Power Group.

Eaton Corporation is a diversified industrial manufacturer with 2005 sales of $11.1 billion. Eaton is a global leader in electrical systems and components for power quality, distribution and control; fluid power systems and services for industrial, mobile and aircraft equipment; intelligent truck drivetrain systems for safety and fuel economy; and automotive engine air management systems, powertrain solutions and specialty controls for performance, fuel economy and safety. Eaton has 60,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 125 countries.
