Milwaukee Electric Taps New President

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation, Brookfield, WI, has tapped Steven P. Richman as its new president.


Richman will be responsible for the Milwaukee brand and its role in manufacturing and marketing professional and industrial heavy-duty portable corded and cordless power tools, pneumatic tools, accessories and safety equipment. He will report directly to Horst Pudwill and will be based at Milwaukee’s headquarters in Brookfield, WI.


Former President and CEO Daniel Perry retired at the end of 2005.


Richman has held a number of top-level management positions in the hardware and power tool industry. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Werner Co. from 2005 to present. He also served as president and general manager, Skil and Bosch Power Tools from 2001 to 2005 and vice president of Sales and Marketing at Skil and Bosch from 1998 to 2001. He served as vice president of Sales and Marketing at Murray, Inc. from 1994 to 1998. Richman started his career in 1982 at Black & Decker in sales and moved up to Group Product Manager before becoming Director of Marketing and Advertising for Siemens Solar in 1988.
