Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW), Centennial, CO, reported sales for the third quarter of $7 billion, an increase of 17.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit increased 14.4 percent to $134.6 million.
Global components third-quarter sales of $4.9 billion increased 25 percent year-over-year, while global ECS third-quarter sales of $2.1 billion increased 2.5 percent.
For the first nine months, sales were $19.2 billion, an increase of 10.3 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 2.8 percent to $348.1 million.
