Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), Stamford, CT, a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products, reported third-quarter 2017 sales of $696 million, up slightly from last year. Core sales were down 1.5 percent. Year-to-date sales were $2.1 billion, up slightly from last year.
Fluid handling segment sales were up 4 percent in the quarter, and Engineered Materials sales were up 7 percent, due to higher sales to the RV market.
Operating profit in the third quarter was $105 million.
