Motion and control technology manufacturer Parker Hannifin Corp. (NYSE: PH), Cleveland, OH, reported sales for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 of $3.11 billion, up 10.3 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 27.5 percent to $238.6 million.

North American diversified industrial segment third quarter sales increased 13 percent to $1.4 billion, while international sales in this segment decreased 11 percent to $1.1 billion.

Aerospace systems segment third quarter sales decreased 3 percent to $577 million.

For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales increased to $8.5 billion, up 1.5 percent from the prior-year period. Profit increased 22 percent to $690.1 million.
