Electrical supplies distributor Border States recently opened two new locations.

Earlier this month, the company celebrated the grand opening of its new Maple Grove location near Minneapolis, as well as another location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Maple Grove location replaces the company’s prior location in Brooklyn Park. Their new branch is located at 9450 Zachary Ln N, Suite 100, Maple Grove, MN 55369.

“This new facility gives us the additional space we need to better offer services and solutions to our customers,” said Shawn Peterson, Area Director — Midwest, at Border States. “This will help us bring more value to our customers and employee-owners, allowing us to grow significantly over the next five years.”

The company’s new Sioux Falls branch is located at 1100 N Career Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57107.

“We have been a part of the Sioux Falls community since January 1989 when we opened our doors at 1401 Minnesota Avenue,” said Tim Conmy, Area Director at Border States. “This expansion is long overdue for our team, and we are so excited to open in our new location and continue to grow with the vibrant Sioux Falls area.”

On Sept. 11, MDM reported that Border States had opened a new branch location in Nampa, Idaho. A month prior, the company said it had reached an agreement to acquire Meridian, Mississippi-based Sequel Electrical Supply.

On MDM’s 2023 Top Distributors Lists, Border States ranks No. 6 among electrical distributors.
