Carlisle Cos. Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales for the second quarter of $996.9 million, up 1.2 percent year-over-year. Profit for the quarter increased 21.4 percent to $115.2 million.
Construction materials sales for the quarter increased 0.8 percent year-over-year to $582.5 million, while interconnect technologies sales grew 5.6 percent to $209.4 million. Fluid technologies sales grew 11 percent to $68.2 million. Brake & friction sales decreased 14 percent to $73.3 million. And food service products sales grew 2.4 percent to $63.5 million.
For the first six months of the year, sales were $1.8 billion, up 5.7 percent over the prior-year period. Profit increased 36.8 percent to $183.7 million.
