Building materials distributor Huttig Building Products Inc. (NASDAQ: HBP), St. Louis, MO, reported sales for 2016 of $713.9 million, an 8.2 percent increase from the previous year. Profit decreased 37.3 percent to $16.3 million.
Sales for the fourth quarter were $164.4 million, up 5.8 percent from the prior-year period. The company reported a loss of $0.2 million for the quarter, compared to a profit of $0.4 million the same period the previous year.
