Manufacturer Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, WI, reported first quarter sales of $818.2 million, a decrease of 10.3 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 12.7 percent to $42.7 million.
In the first quarter, power transmission sales were up 15 percent year-over-year to $201 million, driven primarily by acquisition growth.
Commercial and industrial systems sales decreased 17 percent to $378 million, and climate solutions sales decreased 14 percent to $240 million.
