Timken Sales Up 12.5% in 2017

Fourth-quarter sales increased 18.8 percent year-over-year.

The Timken Co. (NYSE: TKR), Canton, OH, reported sales for 2017 of $3 billion, a 12.5 percent increase from the previous year. Profit was $203.4 million, up 44.5 percent from the prior year.

Sales for the fourth quarter were $778 million, an 18.8 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit was $29.2 million, compared to a loss of $6.9 million the prior year.
