Univar Acquires D’Altomare Quimica in Brazil

Purchase expands Univar's footprint in Brazil and Latin America.

Univar Inc., Redmond, WA, a global distributor of chemistry and related services, has acquired D'Altomare Quimica Ltda., a Brazilian distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, through Univar Brasil Ltda. The acquired business will be combined with Univar's Brazil operations.

"This transaction expands Univar's geographic footprint and market presence in Brazil and across Latin America," said Univar President and CEO Erik Fyrwald. "D'Altomare's portfolio of specialty ingredients, coatings, lubricants, and adhesives are a complementary addition to our existing product portfolio.
