TriMas Corp. (Nasdaq: TRS), Bloomfield Hills, MI, a diversified global manufacturer of engineered and applied products, reported third-quarter sales of $222.2 million, a slight decrease from the previous year. Profit was $11.7 million, down 47.3 percent compared to last year.
For the first nine months, sales were $671.2 million, up 1.1 percent over the same period a year ago. Profit was $27.4 million, down 59.1 percent from a year ago.
TriMas also announced leadership transition within its Norris Cylinder business. Jerry Van Auken, president of Norris Cylinder, has retired as president, and Charles Manz, currently vice president of operations at Norris, has succeeded Van Auken as president. Manz will report directly to TriMas President and CEO Dave Wathen.
