Continental Building Products Sales Up 5.5% in 2014

Fourth quarter sales increase 5.6 percent year-over-year.

Continental Building Products Inc. (NYSE: CBPX), Herndon, VA, a manufacturer of gypsum wallboard and finishing products, reported sales for 2014 of $424.5 million, an increase of 5.5 percent from the previous year. Profit was $15.9 million, compared to $2.1 million in 2013.

Fourth quarter sales were $120.8 million, an increase of 5.6 percent from the same period the previous year. Profit increased 53.6 percent to $10.4 million.

"As we move into 2015, we believe that the construction markets will continue to recover and steadily improve," said Jay Bachmann, CEO. "Amid that backdrop, we believe our business is well positioned to continue building on our progress by optimizing our revenues and exercising strict cost controls to deliver improved returns and cash flows.”
