Marco Sealing Solutions has acquired Houston-based Global O-Ring and Seal, expanding the sealing products distributor’s geographic footprint and wholesale distribution capabilities.
Announced Sept. 1, the deal adds Global’s Houston facility to Marco’s operations in New Hampshire and Florida, giving the combined company a broader U.S. footprint. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2008, Global distributes O-rings and related sealing products to industrial distributors worldwide. Its offerings include backup rings, X-rings, cord stock and other sealing products, along with vulcanizing capabilities. The company stocks more than 125 million O-rings across major compounds and offers same-day shipping.
Global’s Houston facility and team will remain in place following the transaction. Marco said Global customers will gain access to its broader product portfolio, OEM engineering resources, custom material development and digital capabilities.
“Global’s reputation for service and quality is well-established in our industry, making for an ideal fit with Marco,” Marco CEO Chad Smith said. “Global’s location in Houston complements our other locations as well, allowing us to better serve customers across North America.”
The transaction marks Marco’s 10th acquisition since partnering with private equity firm Align Capital Partners and its third deal announced this year.
In May, Marco acquired Cincinnati-based Pride Seals — a 30-year-old distributor of specialty sealing products and services. The deal expanded Marco’s product breadth, technical capabilities and customer base across industrial end markets.
Marco followed in July with its acquisition of Denver-based Rocket Seals — a 70-year-old supplier of O-rings and sealing products serving MRO and OEM customers across industries including fluid power, aerospace, oil and gas, food and beverage and heavy equipment.
Founded in 1980, Marco supplies specialty rubber, plastic and metal sealing components across markets including semiconductor, oil and gas, aerospace, chemical processing and automotive.
