Core & Main to Acquire Lock City Supply

The wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection distributor agreed to acquire ‘substantially’ all of the assets of Lock City Supply Inc.
On June 30, industrial blade manufacturer Valley Grinding & Manufacturing announced the acquisition of Quality Edge, a  knife manufacturer with specialization in the food industry.

St. Louis-based Core & Main, Inc. (NYSE: CNM) has agreed to acquire the assets of Lock City Supply Inc., a distributor of water and wastewater products based in New York.

Financial details were not disclosed.

“With almost 50 years of industry experience, Lock City Supply has proven itself to be a distributor of choice in its local market,” Core & Main CEO Steve LeClair said. “This strategic acquisition will allow us to better serve our combined customer base alongside a great group of people and we’re excited to welcome them into the Core & Main family.”

Lock City Supply offers “a variety of water and wastewater materials to the municipal and utility markets,” with a facility located in Lockport, New York, Core & Main said. The company serves the Buffalo market and surrounding areas.
