Construction supplies distributor NEFCO (East Hartford, Connecticut) announced Aug. 22 that it has acquired Newman Associates — a Canton, Massachusetts-based distributor of pipe hangers and supports — for an undisclosed amount.

Marking NEFCO’s seventh bolt-on since 2017 and third in 2022, Newman serves the construction, infrastructure and water/wastewater treatment industries. The company’s capabilities include integrated engineering and fabrication. Newman operates out of a single 50,000-square-foot facility and is led by chairman Hank Newman, president Rick Tamulionis and general manager Joe Sestito.

NEFCO’s previous two acquisitions this year included Jiffy Fastening Systems Inc. (Lexington, Kentucky) and Russell Supply (South Burlington, Vermont). NEFCO now has 20 locations along the U.S. East Coast.
