Epicor Software Corp., Dublin, CA, announced that Scales Industrial Technologies Inc., Carle Place, NY, has selected the Epicor Prophet 21 wholesale distribution enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

With 46 years in business, Scales Industrial designs and installs industrial compressed air solutions. Scales customers include United Technologies, L'Oréal, Nestlé, Hallmark, Georgia Pacific, Exxon Mobil and Pfizer.

Scales founder/CEO Bill Scales is co-author of Best Practices for Compressed Air Systems, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. An employee-owned and -operated company, Scales Industrial serves the entire Northeastern and mid-Atlantic U.S. regions.

Scales’ decision to choose the Epicor solution was based on several factors, including Epicor’s long-term vision, its model for software enhancements and implementation and its approach to the distribution business.

Incorporating a Microsoft Windows-based platform and SQL Server database, the Epicor solution will enable 75 users at Scales to improve warehouse, order and inventory management; purchasing automation; financial management; and reporting and business intelligence analysis.
