Plumbing supplies distributor Ferguson recently broke ground on a 400,000-square-foot distribution center in Celina, OH. The company will create 70 new full-time jobs at the 77-acre site, which is scheduled to open in late fall.
The city of Celina, located in Mercer County, was chosen because of its close proximity to other Ferguson locations in the Midwest. Al Byrd, Ferguson’s senior vice president of supply chain, said the Celina DC will allow the company to get products to customers quickly, by the next day in some cases.
Ferguson currently has 11 distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. The DCs stock more than 80,000 different products and employ more than 1,000 associates.
Ferguson Enterprises/Wolseley Canada ranked No. 1 on MDM’s 2013 Top Industrial Distributors list. The distributor also ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on MDM’s 2013 Top HVACR/Plumbing and Industrial PVF lists, respectively.
