ECommerce-based distributor SupplyHouse has appointed its first General Counsel as the company continues to scale its operations and infrastructure.

Melville, NY-based SupplyHouse said the new executive will serve as the company’s top legal advisor and oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management and commercial contracting activities.

Andrew Chinsky has law practice experience from two global law firms and most recently served as in-house counsel for rent-to-own furniture retailer Aaron’s. SupplyWorks said his background in applying legal frameworks across functions and teams to support a multifaceted business aligns with the company’s evolving operational complexity and growth trajectory.

“Andrew’s experience and approach make him a strong addition to our leadership team,” SupplyHouse Founder and CEO Josh Meyerowitz, said in a May 11 news release. “He brings a thoughtful, practical mindset and knows how to build the right legal foundation for a fast-moving business while staying aligned with where we’re headed.”

Founded in 2004, SupplyHouse is an online distributor of plumbing, HVAC and electrical supplies serving professional contractors and trade customers across the U.S. The company has expanded rapidly in recent years through investments in fulfillment capacity, technology and product assortment.

According to the company, the General Counsel role will help establish scalable legal infrastructure to support continued growth, including governance practices, compliance frameworks and risk management standards. Responsibilities also include oversight of commercial agreements, employment matters, litigation management and support for executive leadership and investors.

The position will report directly to SupplyHouse leadership and be part of the company’s management team. The company said the role is designed to help navigate increasing operational complexity as it expands its geographic footprint and e-commerce capabilities.
