Material handling products distributor Wolter has acquired West Bend, WI-based Flatley Dock Systems, expanding its dock and door capabilities in the Milwaukee and Chicago markets.

The transaction closed Sept. 1, according to Wolter. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Flatley provides loading dock equipment, high-speed doors, commercial overhead doors and related services. Its offerings include dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock seals and shelters, lifts, safety products, aftermarket parts and maintenance programs. The company serves customers throughout the Milwaukee metro area and Chicagoland.

Wolter said the acquisition adds dock and door expertise and service personnel while broadening the products available to customers. The company also expects the combination to create opportunities to offer Flatley customers additional facility solutions, including forklifts, automation, warehouse storage systems and fleet management tools.

“Bringing that team and expertise into Wolter strengthens our ability to support customers throughout the Milwaukee and Chicago markets,” Wolter CEO Jerry Weidmann said.

Flatley’s West Bend operation is continuing as part of Wolter’s network, providing dock and door sales, installation and service along with access to Wolter’s broader material handling offerings.

The deal is Wolter’s third acquisition of 2026 and follows two transactions that expanded both its geographic reach and warehouse solutions capabilities.

In April, Wolter acquired Downers Grove, IL-based CSI Materials Handling, an industrial storage solutions provider specializing in engineered racking systems, high-density storage, shelving, mezzanines, modular offices and security fencing. The deal strengthened Wolter’s Chicagoland presence and added engineering and installation capabilities.

Wolter followed in July with its acquisition of Delta Materials Handling, adding locations in Memphis and Jackson, TN; Tupelo, MS; and Jonesboro, AR. Delta provides new and used forklifts, rentals, parts, service and warehouse solutions. The transaction marked Wolter’s expansion into the Mid-South.

Brookfield, WI-based Wolter provides forklifts and other material handling equipment, automation and robotics, storage systems, dock equipment, commercial doors and related service and fleet management programs.
