Marco Sealing Solutions has acquired fellow distributor Rocket Seals Inc. — a Denver-based independent supplier of O-rings and sealing products — the companies announced July 14.
The deal expands Marco’s capabilities and reach across industrial markets while adding a distributor with a 70-year operating history. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Rocket Seals carries O-rings, oil seals, hydraulic and pneumatic seals, mechanical seals, piston seals, wipers, wear rings and other specialty products. The company highlighted Rocket Seals’ broad inventory, product expertise and same-day shipping capabilities as key additions to Marco’s platform.
“The Rocket Seals name is synonymous with 70 years of getting customers the right sealing solution quickly,” Rocket Seals owner Dave Hanson said in the announcement. “Marco shares that commitment, and now our customers gain the resources and reach of an industry leader, delivered with the personal, hands-on service that defines the Marco experience.”
The transaction marks Marco’s ninth acquisition since partnering with private equity firm Align Capital Partners. It comes two months after Marco announced the addition of Cincinnati-based Pride Seals.
Marco said it will continue pursuing acquisitions that enhance its global sourcing network, digital capabilities and value-added services.
Founded in 1980 as Marco Rubber & Plastics, Marco has evolved into a global provider of specialty rubber, plastic and metal components. The company supplies custom and standard sealing and precision components supported by engineering, sourcing and digital capabilities.
Align Capital Partners invests in lower-middle-market companies across the business services, technology, specialty manufacturing and distribution sectors. The firm manages $3.2 billion in committed capital.
