Breaking news in Wholesale Distribution
The U.S. Census Bureau announced that the combined value of distributive trade sales and manufacturers’ shipments and inventories for August was down 0.4% from the same month last year.
According to the Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization Report, manufacturing output decreased 0.3% during the month; industrial production was still 6.4% below its pre-pandemic February level.
It took the company more than a year of preparation to make the move.
Indian River Consulting Group’s (IRCG) weekly Pandemic Revenue Index for the work week of Oct. 5 to Oct. 9 indicated a 0.4% decrease compared with the same week a year ago, continuing the pattern of relatively flat conditions that began in August.
September sales increased 7.3% over the same month a year ago as the company's safety and PPE sales continued to bolster company during pandemic, although they moderated.
