Pipe, valve and fittings master distributor Midland Industries ― a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital ― appointed a new CEO.
eCommerce executive Mark Roszkowski will take the top post at the Kansas City, MO-based distributor to accelerate the company’s growth strategy, strengthen operational execution and invest in the people, capabilities and partnerships that support Midland’s customers.
Roszkowski joins the company after serving as President of a Staples subsidiary Quill, an eCommerce office supply retailer. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Vroom and Verizon Media.
Company officials said he has “a track record of building and scaling businesses across multiple industries.”
“His background spans engineering, finance, sales and executive leadership, and includes strengthening go-to-market strategies, driving growth and operational effectiveness, and building high-performing teams,” according to an Aug. 13 news release.
Gemspring Capital Managing Director Alex Funk said Roszkowski will help Midland continue building on its foundation and guide the company to its next phase of growth.
