AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC), Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, reported sales for the fiscal second quarter of $47.4 billion, an increase of 9.5%. The company reported a profit of $971.9 million, up from a $28.1 million in the same period the prior year.
Pharmaceutical Distribution Services revenue was $45.6 billion, an increase of 9.3% compared to the same quarter in the prior fiscal year primarily due to organic growth of some of its largest customers, increased specialty product sales and overall market growth.
