Fastenal Co. (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, Minnesota, reported April sales of $491.5 million, up 6.7% over the year-ago period. The company reported daily sales of $22.3 million, up 6.7% versus a year ago.
By region, U.S. sales grew 10% in April, while Canada/Mexico sales were down by 19.7%. By end market, manufacturing sales fell 15.6% while non-residential construction fell 15.5%, the company said.
